Friends,

Thursday, I had the pleasure of participating in the Tampa Bay Fox13
News broadcast of "Your Turn With Kathy Fountain" with former Florida
State Warden, Ron McAndrew and Nick Cox, a former Capital Case
Prosecutor and law professor. Ron McAndrew is a powerful and gripping
new voice in the struggle for abolition. He brings it. Floridians
will be hearing more from Ron McAndrew. You can see and hear him on
the FADP web site or through the direct link below.

The topic of the show is "Executions on Hold - Should Florida Stop
Executions?" It is a rather large file, please take a few minutes to
watch the video. Without a high speed internet connection, it will
take a long time to download. If you are not able to view it, please
let us know.

This opens well with Windows Media Player:

August 1, 2007 - WTVT - FOX 13 News Death Penalty Discussion ( WMV
Video )

The video is also available at www.fadp.org. Click on "DP in the News"
and select the August 1, 2007 WTVT - FOX 13 link.

As many of you know, I am also the State Death Penalty Abolitionist for
Amnesty International USA.

September 10, final hearings will begin in the 5th Circuit Court in
Ocala on lethal injection. 8 days have been set aside for these
hearings. October 11, the Florida Supreme Court will hear oral
arguments on both this case (Lightbourne) and the Schwab (under Death
Warrant for Nov. 15 execution) appeal.

George Bickner has been the technical whiz behind the many improvements
and additions to our web site. Thanks, George!
