Friends,

Death Penalty events and actions coming soon near you. If you are
holding an event in your area or want to plan an event, please let FADP
know and we will help you network with others. If you need speakers or
materials, we can help. We are all in this together.

Other dates to mark on your calendar:

OCTOBER 11 - the Florida Supreme Court in Tallahassee is to hear oral
arguments in the appeals of Death Row inmate Ian Lightbourne and Mark
Schwab (Death Warrant). Thursday, attorneys for Mark Schwab asked the
State Justices to put his appeal on hold until the U.S Supreme Court
rules next year on other cases that raise the same questions about
lethal injection.

NOVEMBER 15 - the scheduled execution date for Mark Schwab at the
Florida State Prison near Starke. Thursday, his attorneys asked the
Florida Supreme Court to stay his execution until the U.S. Supreme
Court issues it's ruling in other lethal injection appeals.

Vigils for the November 15 execution are being planned statewide.
Please contact us with information on planned vigils in your area and
we will post them.

Shine the light,
---Mark
