Friends,
A quick update on upcoming events. Former Florida State Prison Warden,
Ron McAndrew, will be speaking in Tallahassee Tues., March 25. He was
keynote speaker in Cincinnati on March 12 at the Alpha Phi Sigma 2008
Conference of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. Response
from this highly pro-DP audience was very good. In addtion to speaking
at the March 25th TCADP event in Tallahassee, he has a live interview
at noon on the same day at WTXL television, Ch. 27, Tallahassee.
A sampling of March events, thus far: the March 21st "Stations of the
Cross" Death Penalty protest in Tallahassee, please see:
http://www.fadp.org/news/2008032306/. Sister Helen Prejean headlined a
Death Penalty-focused, Peace and Social Justice Conference for the
Diocese of Venice in Port Charlotte. FADP tabled at the event.
EJUSA's Jeanne Rewa made a presentation to the Catholic Student
Fellowship in Gainesville.
Please attend a Death Penalty awareness event in your area. It is a
great way to meet others and learn more about getting involved in the
Florida. If you or your group are planning or holding an event in your
area, please let FADP know and we will assist in arranging speakers,
materials, advertising and more.
Shine the light,
---Mark

Come and hear this dynamic speaker and bring your open mind and your
questions. Sponsored by TCADP, Pax Christi and the Florida Catholic
Conference.
